Healthy Eating: An Apple a Day Goes a Long Way

Do you remember the saying, "An apple a day, keeps the the doctor away"? Well, that very well could be true! Science has discovered that there are over 15,000 phyto-nutrients in one little apple! I am sure you have heard about the difference between whole food vitamins and the regular old standby's, that you can buy in any old store. Whole food supplements might not show as high of a vitamin count, however, that is where all these phyto-nutrients come into play. You need all of them, along with the naturally occurring vitamins, to feed your body. Taking out just the vitamin parts of a food, is like trying to drive your car with a few parts missing, you know, take away a tire, the gas line and the steering wheel, you won't get to your destination, will you?
